Listening to: Pompeii
Thought for the day: It’s true that every time you hear a bell, an angel gets its wings. But what they don’t tell you is that every time you hear a mouse trap snap, an angel gets set on fire. ~Jack Handy
Disclaimer: I’m not looking for advice. I’m sharing an experience. I am well aware of what the options are. I also realize some of you might come after me with a straight jacket. I’m okay with that too. With that said, I have a mouse problem in my house. Having Pearl, who loves mouse bait, mouse poo, and mice themselves, complicates the matter. I began fighting the problem 2 weeks ago without much luck. Then, Friday night, I heard one of them rooting around in my kitchen. I got up to look. Upon inspection, I found that this particular mouse was eating my lucky buckeye. Today’s photo shows how Mickey hollowed out the inside of the buckeye. My instinctive reaction was, “OH HELL NO!” So, I went to Lowes today to study different options I haven’t tried yet. I bought a snap trap and a capture and release trap. Within 10 minutes of setting up the capture and release trap, I had me a mouse. I took it to the park and released it …………….it’ll probably die anyway………. still. I have to hope. It has luck on its side after all. I hate this part of being an adult.
